Scammed on a Tebex Store? What FiveM Buyers Should Do Next

By Luke

If you think you were scammed on a Tebex store, act quickly but keep the process clean: save the order details, screenshots, seller messages, product page URL, Discord logs, and any delivery errors before you contact support. Tebex’s checkout terms treat a purchase as final unless applicable consumer law requires a refund, so your best chance is a clear evidence pack and the official support route.

This guide is written for FiveM buyers and server owners dealing with scripts, MLOs, server packs, escrow-locked files, and Discord seller disputes. It is not legal advice. Payment and refund rights depend on your country, payment method, and the facts of the purchase.

Immediate checklist

  1. Stop talking in private DMs if the seller is pressuring you. Keep every message, but do not send more money or move the dispute off-platform.
  2. Save the Tebex receipt and transaction ID. Keep the email receipt, checkout URL, store name, product name, date, price, and payment method.
  3. Capture the product claim. Screenshot the product page, demo video, compatibility claims, support terms, update promise, and refund wording.
  4. Document the actual issue. Record missing downloads, broken files, non-working escrow assets, wrong framework support, or seller refusal to help.
  5. Contact the store or Tebex through official channels. Use the official support flow instead of random Discord accounts claiming to represent Tebex.
  6. Ask your payment provider about dispute options only after you have evidence. Banks, card issuers, PayPal, and local rules vary. Do not assume one universal deadline.

What counts as useful evidence?

Support teams and payment providers need facts, not a long argument. Put the evidence in one folder and name files clearly.

Evidence Why it matters
Tebex receipt, order ID, store URL, product URL Shows the exact purchase and seller involved.
Product page screenshots Preserves claims about framework support, escrow status, update history, demos, or included files.
Download screenshots or error logs Shows whether the product was missing, broken, inaccessible, or different from the listing.
Discord or email conversation logs Shows seller promises, refusal to support, pressure tactics, or off-platform payment requests.
Server console errors Helps prove a FiveM script or MLO problem without relying on opinion.

How to contact Tebex

Start with the official Tebex help and charge-reporting pages. Tebex says buyers who do not recognize a charge or believe fraudulent activity occurred should contact Tebex support through its official flow.

If the item simply has not arrived, Tebex says delivery can take a short while: wait at least 30 minutes and check that you are logged in to the game account you bought for before you report it.

Use a short report. Long emotional messages are harder to process.

Please confirm the next official step and whether this case can be reviewed for fraudulent activity, failed delivery, or a seller policy issue.

Refunds and payment disputes: be realistic

Do not expect a refund from Tebex by default. Tebex checkout terms state that purchases are final except where required by applicable consumer law, and Tebex’s Buyer Support page adds that it does not issue refunds for digital transactions.

If the seller will not resolve the issue and Tebex cannot help, contact your payment provider and ask what options apply to your exact transaction. Use careful wording: explain whether the issue is unauthorized payment, failed delivery, item not as described, or seller fraud. These are different cases.

Time limits vary by payment method and country. A card issuer, PayPal account, bank transfer, and local consumer process may all have different rules. The safest approach is simple: ask early, send evidence, and do not invent claims.

Common problems with FiveM sellers

These patterns describe sellers and store owners, not Tebex as the payment provider.

  • Fake script previews: the listing shows polished videos, but the delivered resource is missing features or does not match the demo.
  • Leaked or stolen scripts: the seller resells someone else’s work and disappears when updates or support are needed.
  • Escrow confusion: the page implies editable source, but the delivered asset is escrow-locked or missing configuration access.
  • Framework bait: the product claims ESX, QBCore, or Qbox compatibility but only works on a narrow custom setup.
  • Discord-only support that vanishes: the seller moves support to DMs, then ignores refund or setup requests.
  • Off-platform payment pressure: the seller asks for PayPal Friends and Family, crypto, bank transfer, or another direct payment to avoid Tebex records.
  • Impersonation stores: a page copies a known creator’s branding, screenshots, or product names but is not the real seller.

Before you buy another FiveM resource

Use a short pre-purchase check before buying scripts, MLOs, or server packs for a live server:

  • Check whether the product supports your framework: ESX, QBCore, Qbox, standalone, or a specific version.
  • Confirm whether files are escrowed, partly editable, or fully open.
  • Look for real screenshots, video, changelog, and setup requirements.
  • Read the store’s refund and support policy before checkout.
  • Avoid sellers who only provide vague Discord promises.
  • Keep the checkout on the official Tebex flow.
