Choose a FiveM housing script around your interiors and the property data you need to preserve. On a new server, you can design ownership, rent and storage together. On an established server, keeping the correct owners, keys, furniture and stash contents can matter more than adding another property menu.
NoLag Properties and vms_housing are useful documented candidates to investigate. This guide compares their published setup information and migration tradeoffs. It does not rank their performance or confirm that any particular shop package matches the current creator release.
| Decision | Questions to answer |
|---|---|
| Interiors | Which exact MLOs, shells or IPL interiors will you use? Are the models included or obtained separately? |
| Ownership | Can characters own several properties? Do players buy directly or through a real estate job? |
| Rent and bills | When are charges collected, and what happens after a missed payment or server downtime? |
| Access | Do owners, tenants and guests have different rights? How are keys revoked? |
| Police interaction | Which jobs and grades may enter, search storage or end a lockdown? |
| Existing data | Does migration preserve property locations only, or owners, furniture, keys and storage too? |
A shell, an IPL interior and an MLO need different placement and entry setup. Ask for a demonstration using the interior type you plan to deploy. A housing script's ability to reference a map does not establish that the map files are included in your purchase.
Confirm that the exact housing release and its interiors and dependencies support your chosen GTA V edition. Before selecting an Enhanced package, review the Cfx.re migration guide, including its asset-streaming changes and current Asset Escrow limitation.
The NoLag Properties compatibility documentation, currently hosted by TeamsGG, lists separate integrations for interaction, garages, inventories, clothing, weather, banking and phones. Use those lists to compare the exact resources your server runs. Check the table headings carefully: its checkmarks and crosses in the “Free” column describe cost, not whether an integration is supported.
The configuration guide describes shell discovery through JSON configuration, with matching resource names required. It also documents property photography through screencapture and a default Fivemanage upload setup. Those are concrete setup tasks to account for if you want custom shell packs and property images.
The installation guide identifies ox_lib, oxmysql, bob74_ipl and screencapture dependencies and links a setup wizard. Compare the exact framework and release with the seller before choosing the package; an integration list alone does not validate a modified framework.
The vms_housing installation guide separates ESX and QB-Core database setup and covers furniture data, inventory items and jobs. This gives you a useful starting list of systems to involve in installation.
Its compatibility page makes an especially important distinction: the documented migration preserves registered property configuration, but does not transfer property owners, furniture or other household data. It also lists limits by source system and interior type. A supported migration is therefore not a complete transfer of an established housing economy.
Consider this option when its property workflow fits your design and you can handle the stated migration boundary. Ask for a written mapping of every player-data field you need to retain. If you use Qbox, obtain release-specific confirmation rather than treating the QB-Core installation tab as equivalent.
Create a migration worksheet with one row for each kind of data: property ID, owner identifier, tenant, key holder, furniture placement, storage identifier, garage access and outstanding charges. Record the source, destination and verification method. A property that appears in the menu may still point to the wrong stash or have no recognized owner.
Keep the old files and a restorable database backup. Rehearse the conversion on a separate copy, then compare both counts and representative records. Include occupied houses, empty listings, shared apartments and properties whose owners are offline. Define how players will recover any data the conversion cannot preserve.
For the eventual change, prevent new property transactions during the migration window so the source does not keep changing. Decide whether rollback restores a full snapshot or uses another reconciliation process. Restoring an old database after allowing new purchases can discard those purchases.
Select the system whose verified workflow matches your server and whose migration you can explain. The number of interiors in a demonstration is a weak substitute for correct ownership, storage and access after a restart.
