- ESX
ESX server packs are complete FiveM servers running on es_extended: jobs, police and EMS, shops, housing, vehicles, an SQL file and a server.cfg in one download. ESX has been around longest and has the largest script library, which is why many established servers still run it. The comparison below the packs shows what our Lab found in each archive.

What the RPScripts Lab read in each download. The Lab checks the files statically; it does not start a server. “No findings” means nothing was found in the part it read, not that the pack was tested or starts.

This is the first thing to check. ESX Legacy is the maintained line and uses oxmysql; most current ESX scripts are written for it. Packs built on older ESX versions (1.1, 1.2 or "v1 final") usually still load mysql-async and the original esx_* jobs. They run, but newer scripts often need small fixes on them. Look at the es_extended version in the listing or its fxmanifest.lua after download.
ox_inventory; older packs keep the default ESX inventory or a weight-based replacement. Item scripts you add later have to match it.To extend your server, browse ESX scripts. For background and setup, read the ESX framework guide, how to create a FiveM server and the ESX install docs.
Yes, if your team knows it or the scripts you want are ESX-only. ESX Legacy is maintained and has the biggest catalog of jobs and systems. For a brand-new server with no preference, QBCore is the more common pick today; compare our QBCore server packs.
It is possible but it is real work: every resource and the database have to be migrated. The ESX to QBCore migration guide shows what is involved, so decide on the framework before you buy.
Your own Cfx.re license key, a Windows or Linux server or VPS, and a MySQL or MariaDB database. Replace every credential that ships in the pack's server.cfg before you go live.
