To install a FiveM HUD, confirm its framework and dependencies, add its resource folder, start it after those dependencies, and test the displayed values with a normal player. A HUD that appears on screen still needs a data and usability check.
Read the HUD documentation for the supported framework version, inventory, status and voice resources. ESX, QBCore and Qbox integrations are not interchangeable unless the creator explicitly supports them. Back up the current HUD, configuration and any database tables the installation changes.
Test on a separate server first. Disable the old HUD during the test to prevent duplicate overlays and competing minimap or status logic.
Test different resolutions and UI scaling, entering and leaving vehicles, reconnecting, character changes and a full server restart. Confirm that menus remain clickable and important text is readable without relying on color alone. Inspect the F8 and server consoles for errors.
No interface: check the resource start error, manifest, NUI file paths and browser assets. An interface with incorrect values points instead to the framework or status integration. Overlapping elements suggest another HUD or minimap resource is still running.
Restore the old HUD and configuration if the new resource fails these checks. Restore a database backup only when its migration changed data; coordinate this so newer player progress is not overwritten.
Resource manifest explains script and UI declarations; server commands documents ensure.
