Water Monitor

Water Monitor adds a water monitor that firefighters can set up on scene to put out large fires with a jet of water. Anyone with permission in the area can angle it up and down. It works together with the Supply Line resource, which in turn needs HoseLS.

Usage

• /watermonitor setup sets up a water monitor at your current location.
• Walk up to a water monitor and press E to turn the water on or off. The distance and key are configurable.
• Use ARROW UP and ARROW DOWN (configurable) to adjust the height of the jet.
• /watermonitor remove removes the nearest water monitor, even if you didn't create it.

Features

• Supply line integration: you can only turn on a water monitor when an active supply line is set up nearby
• Synced: several players can adjust and toggle the same water monitor, even if they didn't create it. Works with OneSync, OneSync Infinity and without OneSync
• Custom prop (prop_water_monitor) created by Adam Fenton
• Permission checks: enable ace permissions in the config or add your own server-side checks in sv_watermonitor.lua
• Translations: all messages can be changed in the config

Configuration

In config_watermonitor.lua you set the command name, ace permissions (off by default), the prop model, the usage distance (5.0), the pitch distance (5.0), the toggle key, a 3-second cooldown between turning it on and off, the default permission and the up and down keys.

Installation

• Place the WaterMonitor folder in your resources folder.
• Add ensure WaterMonitor to your server.cfg after HoseLS and SupplyLine.
