Fire Supply Line

Fire Supply Line adds a supply line system to the HoseLS fire hose. With it, your hose no longer has an infinite water supply: you get a limited supply from a fire vehicle and need a supply line for continuous water. You need HoseLS to run this resource.

How it works

• /hose (from HoseLS) starts using the hose. You can only spray while you have an active water supply.
• Limited supply: walk up to a fire vehicle listed in the config to get water for 120 seconds by default (configurable). The timer only runs while water is spraying.
• /supplyline setup sets up a supply line on the nearest configured fire vehicle. An on-screen message asks you to press Enter to connect.
• Once connected, your water supply is unlimited until you move too far away (configurable) or the supply line is removed.
• /supplyline remove removes the supply line on the nearest vehicle. Players who relied on it switch back to the limited supply and are notified.

Features

• Supply lines only on fire vehicles you define in the config, each with its own position (bone, offset and rotation)
• Synced supply lines: other players can use them and, with permission, remove them. Works with and without OneSync, and players who join later see existing supply lines
• Percentage of water left shown at the bottom of the screen
• Custom supply line prop (prop_supplyline) created by Adam Fenton
• All messages can be changed and translated in the config
• Optional ace permissions, or add your own server-side permission checks in sv_supplyline.lua

Configuration

In config_supplyline.lua you set the command name, the prop, the default water seconds (120), ace permissions (off by default), the distance to connect (10.0), the maximum distance from the vehicle (200.0) and the connect key. Every fire vehicle needs an entry with its model, bone, offset and rotation; the base game firetruk is set up as an example.

Installation

• Place the SupplyLine folder in your resources folder.
• Add ensure SupplyLine to your server.cfg after HoseLS.
• Add your fire vehicles in config_supplyline.lua.
