Surveillance System

This resource adds a security camera system to your server. Players with access can watch shops, jewellery stores and banks, and criminals can hack the cameras to take the live feed down.

Features

• Camera system: 34 cameras placed in all the shops, jewellery stores and banks, each of which can be hacked to disable its live feed.
• Camera quality: 6 different camera types; you can give every single camera its own quality type.
• Footage recorder: while you are inside a camera, the resource can record the view as a regular GTA V clip for later use. You switch this on or off in the config (off by default).
• Camera hacking: 3 ways to hack the cameras: computer hacking, thermite hacking and MHacking with a phone. Each hack point can be placed anywhere, and one hack can switch off a whole group of cameras. Cameras can be restored again.
• Job checker: optionally limit camera access to whitelisted jobs (police and ambulance by default).
• Open cameras with the /cam command (name configurable) or through the documented client and server events.

Configuration

In configs/config.lua you set the command, ESX and job options, minimap hiding, clip recording, camera controls, hack key, hack success chance, all hacking messages and the camera locations. Framework-specific code goes into client_customise_me.lua and server_customise_me.lua.

Requirements

ESX is optional (Config.UsingESX); the job checker needs a job system.

Installation

• Copy the surveillanceSystem folder into your resources directory.
• Set up configs/config.lua for your server.
• Add ensure surveillanceSystem to your server.cfg and restart the server.
