Police System CAD/MDT

Police System CAD/MDT is a police database for ESX servers with citizen records, reports, laws and penalties, investigations, trainings, a vehicle database and BOLOs/warrants. It comes as two parts: a Laravel 8 web application and the in-game resource ns_policecad.

Features

• Citizen database: list of all citizens, create reports, arrest warrants
• Laws & penalties: create, edit and delete nested laws and penalties. When you write a report, you pick a fine and/or prison time depending on what you select.
• Investigations: add multiple citizens and multiple officers to an investigation
• Trainings: set ranks as requirements to apply for a training, with full training info
• Vehicle database: search any vehicle owned by a player
• BOLOs / warrants: for a citizen or a vehicle
• Instructions: post important messages for officers to read
• Control center: create as many control areas as you want and set the maximum number of officers for each
• Permission system: create ranks and give or revoke permissions

Two separate parts

The web application reads records from your server database. Its README describes it as separate from direct in-game interaction. Don't assume that the two archives form one automatically synchronised system.

Requirements

Web application

• A web server, PHP 8.0 or newer, MySQL and access to the FiveM database
• npm and Composer; Redis is optional

FiveM resource

• es_extended and mysql-async
• The code uses the legacy esx:getSharedObject event and the users, jobs, job_grades and owned_vehicles tables. Check these on your server.

Installation

• Web application: point the web document root to the public directory, set your own environment and database connections (use .env.example as a template instead of the included .env), and replace the supplied default login before you allow access. Compatibility with current PHP releases has not been tested.
• FiveM resource: review sql.sql (tables ns_bolos and ns_notes) against a database backup, then import it.
• Set the police job, key (default F1), highest rank and access rules (Config.OnlyPolice, Config.OnlyInVehicle) in config.lua.
• Setup correction required: the supplied fxmanifest.lua starts with /fx_version. Remove the leading slash, then start ns_policecad after its dependencies. This only fixes the manifest syntax; full in-game operation and compatibility with your ESX version still need testing.
