FiveM Comic/Newspaper Script

The Comic/Newspaper Script (by ToxicScripts) lets players read newspapers and comic books page by page in a full-screen viewer on FiveM. ESX and QBus (QBCore) versions are included, and it also works standalone.

Features

• Page-by-page reader for newspapers and comic books
• ESX and QBCore versions use usable items (for example comic_book_1), so you can sell papers in your shops
• Standalone version opens a paper with /read name
• Reading animation (can be turned off in the config)
• Add your own papers: create a folder with numbered page images and add the name to config.lua
• Two sample books included: a newspaper and a comic book

What's included

• esx_paperscript, qb-paperscript and paperscript (standalone)
• A shared html folder with the reader UI and the sample pages
• Item icons and a README for each version

Installation

• Pick the version for your framework and copy it into your resources.
• Copy the html folder into the client folder of that script (it is shipped separately so the images are not duplicated).
• ESX: add the items to your items table. QBCore: add them to qb-core/shared.lua. Copy the item images to your inventory.
• Add ensure with the folder name to your server.cfg.
