FiveM Bike Hire / Rental Script

FiveM Bike Hire adds bike share docking stations around the map. Players walk up to a machine, hire a bike and return it at any docking station; every dock is synced between all players. It runs standalone, and you can hook it into ESX or vRP to charge players.

How it works

Walk up to any machine at a docking station and press ENTER (configurable) to hire a bike. If a bike is available, the dock lights up green with a marker and the bike unlocks, and you get an in-game notification. Other players can no longer hire the bike from that dock. Some docks have 3 bikes, others have 5.

Features

• Hire a bike by walking up to the machine.
• Return a bike anywhere: hire from one dock, return at any other.
• Blips show how many bikes are available at each docking station in real time (configurable).
• Cooldown in minutes before a player can hire another bike (optional).
• Automatic reset: bikes that are not returned are reset at the dock after a set time (can be turned off).
• Many pre-configured docking locations; add more in config_bikehire.lua.
• Framework integration and permission checks: edit the server file to charge players, check their bank balance or limit hiring to certain players, e.g. as a donator perk.
• Texts can be translated.
• Works with OneSync, OneSync Infinity and non-OneSync.
• Custom models: docking station, terminal and bike, based on the London Santander bike hire scheme; they can be retextured for other countries.

Installation

• Copy the BikeHire folder into your resources.
• Adjust the docks, key, cooldown and reset options in config_bikehire.lua, and add your payment or permission checks in sv_bikehire.lua if needed.
• Add ensure BikeHire to your server.cfg.

Note: the included bike model is streamed as cruiser, so it replaces the default Cruiser bicycle.
