ESX Police Badges

  • ESX

Description

AN Badges (an_badges) lets police and sheriff officers on ESX servers show their badge. Using the badge item plays an animation with a badge prop and opens a badge card with the officer's rank, callsign and photo.

Features

  • One usable item per job with its own design: badge for police and sdbadge for sheriff by default; more jobs can be added in config.lua.
  • Four badge designs included (two LSPD, two BCSO) plus PSD source files to make your own.
  • Rank labels per job grade (for example Cdt., Ofc., Sgt.) and a department number shown before the callsign.
  • Default callsign setting.
  • Streamed badge prop for the show-badge animation.
  • Officers can set a photo by entering an image URL; it is saved in the users table.

Requirements

  • ESX (uses the legacy shared-object event)
  • oxmysql (default) or mysql-async (switch the line in fxmanifest.lua)
  • A dialog/input resource for the photo URL; the script calls an external dialog export, so check that it matches the one on your server.

Installation

  • Import db.sql; it adds a badge column to users.
  • Add the badge items (badge, sdbadge) to your items.
  • Copy an_badges into your resources folder and adjust jobs, designs and ranks in config.lua.
  • Add ensure an_badges to your server config.
