okok TalkToNPC

okok TalkToNPC adds NPC conversations to your FiveM server. Players walk up to an NPC, press E, and get a dialog interface with the NPC's name, a message and up to six options that trigger your own events.

Features

• The camera is positioned and rotated automatically from the NPC's coordinates and heading; you can switch this off and set a manual camera offset and rotation per NPC.
• Up to 6 options per NPC, each triggering a client ('c') or server ('s') event
• The minimap is hidden during a conversation (can be disabled)
• Adjustable camera animation time
• Optional okokTextUI prompt, switched with Config.UseOkokTextUI
• Configurable interaction key (E by default)

Configuration

For each NPC you set in config.lua:

• the ped model to spawn
• the header and name shown at the top of the interface, plus the text shown when you are near the NPC
• the dialog message
• coordinates and heading
• the interaction range
• the options and which event each one triggers
• the jobs allowed to interact (leave empty for everyone)

A template for new NPCs and an example Pacific Bank employee are included.

Performance

The author tested the script with 350 NPCs: 0.03–0.04 ms idle and 0.07–0.12 ms near an NPC.

Installation

• Place the okokTalkToNPC folder in your resources and add ensure okokTalkToNPC to your server.cfg.
• Set up your NPCs in config.lua. If you don't use okokTextUI, set Config.UseOkokTextUI = false.
