GCPhone Video Call FiveM resource preview

GCPhone Video Call

Critical Scripts

  • ESX

Description

This resource adds video calls to gcPhone in FiveM. It is not a phone on its own: it hooks into the phone you already run (the author also names Crewphone) and adds a camera view to calls. It is made by Critical Scripts.

Features

  • Real-time video calls using WebRTC
  • No interaction with your phone's VoIP, so it runs alongside TokoVoip, Mumble or other voice systems
  • Switch between the back and the front camera
  • Colour filters (grayscale, sepia, invert, saturate and more)
  • Image filters with real-time face tracking on the player ped (dog, cat and more)
  • Adjusts to and centres in different screen resolutions
  • Video is relayed through a proxy server so players never see each other's IP address
  • Automatic video reconnect after WebRTC disconnects
  • Ready-made hook for gcPhone, plus a custom hook folder for other phones

Configuration

  • Control keys to toggle video, switch filters and switch cameras (can be disabled)
  • Integrated proxy (default port 8080) or an external proxy server
  • Limit on active transmissions to cap network use. The config states about 2 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload per active transmission.

Requirements

  • gcPhone (or a phone you write a hook for)
  • yarn in your resources
  • The proxy port opened for TCP and UDP in your server firewall

Installation

  • Make sure yarn is in your resources.
  • Add ensure cs-video-call to your cfg before your phone.
  • In your phone's fxmanifest.lua or __resource.lua, add '@cs-video-call/client/hooks/core.lua' as the last client script and '@cs-video-call/server/hooks/core.lua' as the last server script.
  • In your phone's NUI file (usually index.html), add <script type="text/javascript" src="nui://cs-video-call/client/hooks/core.js"></script> right before </body>.
  • Read through all options and comments in config.lua. Some of them are essential for the setup.
  • Run ensure cs-video-call in the server console and wait until yarn finishes, then restart or run refresh and ensure your phone.
