Select a supported GTA V game build with sv_enforceGameBuild when your resources need that content baseline. This does not install a complete GTA Online gameplay system or make every map and script compatible automatically.
The configuration and code examples here target FiveM for GTA V Legacy. Enhanced has different runtime and compatibility rules; check Cfx.re’s Legacy-to-Enhanced changes before applying them to an Enhanced server.
Read the requirements of your maps, clothing, vehicles and build-specific natives. Check the supported build values in the official server-command reference. Record the current build and artifact separately.
Back up the server configuration and test the proposed build on staging. Avoid changing artifacts, framework and game build in one untested release.
In the server configuration actually loaded by FXServer, use a tested supported numeric build. This example selects the Cayo Perico baseline and is not a recommendation for every server:
set sv_enforceGameBuild 2189If your host or txAdmin manages this through startup arguments, use +set sv_enforceGameBuild followed by the selected number there instead. Keep one authoritative setting and remove conflicting duplicates. The variable must be set at startup; a resource restart is insufficient.
One enforced build supplies one content baseline, which can include earlier DLC content. It does not mean you should configure several sv_enforceGameBuild lines for different DLCs. Map placement, IPL handling and gameplay scripts may still require their own setup.
